Raquel Martínez
University of Murcia
Spain

Brief Bio
Raquel Martínez graduated in Computer Engineering at the University of Murcia. She studied a master's degree in Information Technologies and at the same time she worked as a researcher in the group of Intelligent Systems and Telematic of the Faculty of Informatic at the University of Murcia. Besides, she received an award for her academic excellence. Nowadays, she is researching in topics such as Fuzzy Logic, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Soft-computing among others. She has also obtained a grant to carry out her PhD degree at the University of Murcia. Therefore she is developing her PhD as a grant holder of PhD in Department of Information and Communication Engineering at the University of Murcia.

SCOPE

In the Intelligent Systems area, Soft Computing and DataMining are methodologies that have demonstrated their efficiency and effectiveness to model situations and solve complex problems. Different fields of interest in their exploration can be: Renewable Energy, Logistics, Green Logistics, Medical Systems, Financial Systems, etc.

A researcher should not be limited to improve the results achieved and he should not deepen more in his work line, but also he is required to open new lines of study, new solution approaches and new application fields. From this viewpoint, it makes sense to apply Soft Computing in the fields mentioned above. So, we must look for new models, propose innovative solutions and analyze results in order to demonstrate the advantages of Soft Computing.

Within the scope of this session, the areas and topics of interest include, but are not limited, to:

- Fuzzy Decision Making;
- Fuzzy Optimization;
- Fuzzy Learning Systems;
- Information Processing;
- Knowledge Extraction;
- DataMining;
- Metaheuristics;
- Other Related Topics

and applications such as:

- Logistic;
- Green Logistics;
- Ecological systems and Environment;
- Renewable Energies;
- Bioinformatics;
- Financial Management;
- Prediction and Diagnosis Systems;
- Other Related Applications.
